Yin yoga is a passive yoga practice which is deeply calming and relaxing. The practice is designed to lengthen muscles, ligaments, tendons in passive poses (asanas) and permit gravity and the weight of the body to work together. Poses are often held from 2-5 minutes during which meditative mantra and breathwork may be utilized. This class is appropriate for all ages, fitness and flexibility levels.
Class attendees may wish to bring personal mat, blocks, bolsters, blankets, straps and or pillows to increase comfort while holding poses.
