Based upon studies of the 8 Limbs of Ashtanga Yoga, this class will open with study and review of the Yoga Sutras, shift to a Hatha Yoga (asana) practice and will conclude with breath control (pranayama) and meditation. Sutra worksheets will be provided by the instructor. For those keen on familiarizing with the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, purchase of a personal copy of the Yoga Sutras with commentary is suggested.
This class is 90 minutes in duration. Class attendees may wish to bring personal mat, bolster, blocks and or blankets to find an easy seat for sutra review and meditation. We do have all of these things available.
